Scenes from the 27th Annual Blueberry Festival Parade

1 min read

WILTON – A week of clouds and rainstorms gave way to a sunny day with cool temperatures, perfect for the 27th Annual Blueberry Festival Parade.

Featuring the floats and presentations by both local groups and some from other towns, the parade once again lived up to its reputation as the longest in the state.

A crowd lined Main Street to watch Lewiston’s Kora Temple members race around in their tiny cars, trucks and scooters while performing various maneuvers that often brought applause. Drum and bagpipes marched with politicians, church groups, businesses, antique cars and fire trucks.

As always, local fire departments were well represented at today’s parade

Leapin’ Lenna, a popular addition to the parade.

Rocky Hill Landscaping & Nursery’s float, featuring mulch, a giant Bass shoe and two pair of flowers.

Shelly’s Hometown Market’s float had two young men preparing the store’s speciality.

Sunshine Pools’ entry, featuring huge Mr. and Mrs. Blueberry enjoying a relaxing swim.
