A magical night in Rangeley on Aug. 6

RANGELEY  – On Thursday, August 6, the Church of the Good Shepherd on Main Street will be filled with the wonderful music of Virtuosi International returning to the area to present a concert, A Magical Night in Rangeley. The concert, which begins at 7:00 PM, is sponsored by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts, with generous financial support from the Westerhoff Family Foundation.

Helga Westerhoff, founder and Executive Director of the Westerhoff School of Music & Art in Metuchen, New Jersey and a long time summer visitor to the Rangeley area, announced that the concert will be under the direction of David Isokowitz, the school’s Music Director. Performers will include David Iskowitz, piano, (pictured with Westerhoff and Mickey Waring, Art Director) Sun Young Chang, soprano, Patrick Durek, guitar and Kao Osawa, pianist.

The Westerhoff School of Music & Art was founded in 1998 by Helga K. Westerhoff and began its first semester in September 1998. The school provides: 

  • A solid foundation that prepares students for careers in music or the visual arts
  • A lifetime of music enjoyment and art appreciation
  • The curriculum is designed to deepen the love and understanding of music and to develop performance skills. It is also designed to develop skills in the visual arts.

There is no charge for admission. However, donations will gladly be accepted by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts to support their Rangeley programs.
