Artist’s opening reception Oct. 3 & 4 at SugarWood Gallery

FARMINGTON – June Dragoon of Hillside Art Gallery in West Peru, Maine, will be Heirlooms of Tomorrow featured artist for October at its SugarWood Gallery in Farmington.

Dragoon’s latest advancement in her artistic development has been in the field of portrait paintings in oil. She has been commissioned to do a number of private individual paintings and finds she enjoys the process and sees this area as becoming more important to her continued development.

She has studied with a number of well-known artist and works in a variety of mediums. She says she “finds magic in watercolor.”

She has participated in many gallery and sidewalk shows. Her work has been chosen for decorating at several hospitals and educational institutions and is in private collections throughout the world.

June has an adventurous spirit and enjoys mountain climbing, especially Mt. Katahdin and the Knife’s Edge. She is an enthusiastic camper and alpine skier.

An Open House Reception will be held Friday, Oct. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. PM. The public is invited and refreshments will be provided.

SugarWood Gallery is located at 248 Broadway in Farmington. Hours are Monday thru Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 778-5315.
