FARMINGTON – On Saturday night, May 23, 2009 at 7:30 pm, when the long white stretch limousine pulls up in front of the Auditorium at the Mt. Blue High School, the very talented Diva’s will emerge bringing an evening of live entertainment to this venue.

The Diva Show was conceived as “an evening of lighthearted entertainment filled with unpredictable characters.” It is an evening designed around song and entertainment and an opportunity for seasoned performers to share their individual talents with a willing community. It is a great match!

The DIVA PRODUCTION takes a long view of entertainment mixing time periods and songs. Old favorites that have stood the test of time blended by design to have the audience enjoying an evening of live entertainment.

Working with the students from Jobs for Maine’s Graduates, they join together in this interesting project sharing the responsibilities of every aspect of production including publicity, ticket sales and program design, set design, audio and visual assistance, and overall enthusiasm. This project brings together a group of talented performers and enthusiastic students. It is a forward thinking approach to the learning experience championed by the program director, Cal Dorman and his staff.

Plan ahead to enjoy this evening of fun with theater, music and an unpredictable cast of characters. Seats will be limited, so it is recommended that you buy your tickets early. Tickets are $15, general admission, and may be purchased at Tranten’s Market in downtown Farmington and at Shelley’s Hometown Market in East Wilton. This group of Diva’s has always played to a full house! When the lights go dim, and the curtain opens to reveal an interpretation of Doris Day or Patsy Cline, you won’t be able to tell if you are in New York City or Farmington, Maine!
