HealthReach Community Health Centers (HRCHC) was recently nominated by a Governing Board Member to take part in Bangor Savings Bank’s 2009 Community Matters More Program.

HRCHC is one of 48 nonprofit companies nominated within eight Maine regions, with HRCHC being placed in the “Western Market” region. Each of the companies nominated will receive a $1,000 grant, and each regional winner will receive a $5,000 grant. The grant monies are provided by the Bangor Savings Foundation.

In addition to those mentioned above, there is an opportunity for the top 20 write-in winners (at least two in each region) to receive $1,000 grants.

Voting will be conducted by ballot or online at www.communitymattersmore.com and will run through Monday, March 2, 2009. Online voting is currently available about two-thirds of the way down the page.

Additional paper ballots can be picked up by visiting one of the non-profit agencies nominated for the grant. A complete listing of those nominated can be viewed on the paper ballots which can be dropped off at any of the 51 Bangor Savings Branch locations located in Maine.
