The meeting will celebrate the successes of the past year, including the railroad repair and the $150,000 Community Enterprise grant that was awarded to the Town of Livermore Falls earlier this year. Throughout the evening the Betterment Group will recognize a number of volunteers and present the Community Betterment Award.

Keynote speaker, President and CEO, Rebecca Ryder, will include an overview of the long-standing commitment by Franklin Community Health Network to providing health care services to the Greater Franklin County area including new services now available in the community and plans for future program development. Rebecca will also outline the current challenges facing hospitals in the State of Maine and the impact of the economy on the health care delivery system.

Rebecca Ryder was born and raised in the Greater Portland area. She began her career as a nurse and worked at Mercy Hospital as administrator of nursing. She has since served in Senior Executive roles in hospitals in various areas of the country. Rebecca has returned to Maine with 20 years experience in hospital and health care administration and in January joined the Franklin Community Health Network.

The dinner is being catered by Two Sisters Catering and will include a hot Italian buffet. Dessert will be provided by Butter Cookies, a new bakery owned by Melanie Rounds, opening soon in Livermore Falls. The cost of the meal is $20.

The Livermore Falls Downtown Betterment group is hosting this event as an opportunity for community members to get involved and learn more about their community. Attendees must RSVP by April 16 by calling 897-5349.
