FARMINGTON – The Mt. Blue High School music department is pleased to announce and introduce the 2008-2009 Syncopations, an auditioned women’s vocal ensemble directed by Carol Shumway and accompanied by Patricia Hayden.
In April 2008, the Syncopations were awarded the “Best Choral Ensemble” at the Heritage Music Festival in Montréal, Quebec. Continuing in this outstanding choral tradition are this year’s members:
Alex Allen, Rosie Cohen, Megan Collins, Laurel Fraley, Erin Gray, Molly Flanagan, Ashlie Hardy, Alix Mason, Katie Rice, Miranda Voter, Aubrey Wiggins and Kat Zachary.
The Syncopations can be heard at the following community events this December holiday season:
Saturday, Dec. 13th Old South Church Community Luncheon at noon
Thursday, Dec. 18th Farmington Rotary meeting 7:30 AM at the Granary
Finally, The Syncopations will present a holiday concert Thursday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. in Nordica Auditorium along with the Mt. Blue High School Jazz Band. Donations from this concert will be given towards Toys for Tots.
