FARMINGTON – “And the item goes to…” are the words you will hear once again, at this year’s Titcomb Mountain Holiday Auction to be held on Friday evening, Dec. 5, 2008 at the Granary Restaurant Function Room.
The auction which is sponsored by the Farmington Ski Club is in its 13th year and continues to bring the community together in a fun evening for a great cause. This year’s auction will feature a variety of items from area businesses as well as community members. Highlights include: a ski package, ski day passes, an individual ski membership to Titcomb Mountain, handcrafted items, and much more. Also, as a special treat, The Mt. Blue Voices will be performing during the silent auction preview beginning at 6 p.m.
One very special aspect to this year’s auction is a raffle including three items that people won’t want to miss. Thanks to the generosity of some local businesses, the raffle will include: 100 gallons of heating fuel, donated by P.E. Twitchell, Inc; one ton of Envi blocks donated by Northern Lights Hearth and Sports; and a $300 gift certificate donated by Hannafords and an anonymous donor. The tickets are $5 each and they are going fast. If you are interested in purchasing one, please call Titcomb Mountain 778-9031.
To get a glimpse of some of the items to be auctioned this year, please visit the Calico Patch storefront on Broadway as a window display will be on hand for viewing beginning November 30th, the week before the auction.
If you and friends are interested in attending the auction, the silent auction bidding will begin at 6 p.m. at the Granary Restaurant in Farmington. There will be a live auction will start at 7 pm.
