KINGFIELD – Healthy Community Coalition (HCC) and the Kingfield Elementary School will be holding a special Health Fair at the Kingfield Elementary School on Thursday, April 30, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Among the many highlights will be free blood pressure screenings, skin analysis, back pack safety, cancer prevention information, bicycle helmet giveaways for MSAD 58 students, free chair massages, free water bottles, healthy snacks, and many other screenings and demonstrations.

The health fair will launch a series of outreach events that HCC will be hosting throughout Franklin County to provide cancer education and screenings. HCC will be bringing many health resources to the community about nutrition, tobacco cessation, and physical activity. NorthStar EMS will be available to check blood pressures and discuss the Heart Safe Communities Program with participants. Poison Control and diabetes information will also be available.

All attendees who fill out an evaluation will have a free chance to win a gift basket valued at more than $100; additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase with proceeds supporting the Healthy Community Coalition and the Kingfield Elementary School.

This event is made possible through funding from the Maine Cancer Foundation, the Brain Injury Association of Maine, and the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.
