Michele McCormick, MD, to Join Franklin Health Pediatrics

FARMINGTON –  Franklin Health Pediatrics is pleased to announce that Michele McCormick, MD, will join its practice on February 2. Their offices are located in the Franklin Health Medical Arts Center, located next to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Other providers in the medical practice include Lorien Batt, MD; Kathleen Hickey, MD; John Hickey, MD; and Richard Rosol, MD.

Dr. McCormick has been practicing pediatrics since 1997. She has been affiliated with two medical practices in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, and most recently provided locum tenens (temporary) pediatric care in Maine and New Mexico. Last summer, Dr. McCormick provided pediatric care at Franklin Health Pediatrics as the practice was awaiting the arrival of Dr. Batt.

“We are very excited to have a pediatrician with Dr. McCormick’s experience coming to join us and to be part of our superb team of physicians providing care for children in the office and hospital,” said Leslie Hawkins, Franklin Health Administrator.

Dr. McCormick is a board-certified pediatrician who received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, before completing her residency at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics.

Franklin Health Pediatrics offers a full range of medical care for newborns through teens. Services such as well-child care and immunizations, sports physicals, adolescent gynecological care, asthma care, along with acute and chronic illness care are provided. Most lab services are provided on-site.

Franklin Health pediatricians provide patient education, call coverage 24 hours-a-day, and hospital care for their patients at Franklin Memorial Hospital’s pediatric unit, where patients may access a full range of
diagnostic services and subspecialties. All insurances and health plans are accepted.
