20 pounds plus of marijuana leads to arrest

STRONG – A 51-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking and cultivating marijuana this morning.

Ronald C. Cabe of Norton Hill Road, was charged with aggravated trafficking, a Class B crime, in schedule drugs and cultivating marijuana, a Class D crime.

Members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant at Cabe’s home, said Lt. Niles Yeaton. Seized during the search were more than 10 pounds of pre-packaged marijuana and more than 10 pounds of drying marijuana. In addition, assorted drug paraphernalia, prescription medications, 21 growing marijuana plants and $950 in cash was found by police.

Police said the marijuana was reportedly located in several different “drying” rooms throughout the two story residence.
