FARMINGTON – A bomb scare message found on a computer at Mt. Blue Middle School was discovered five minutes before dismissal today.

A student police believe wrote the note has been identified, according to the Farmington Police Department.

The message was found at 2 p.m. as the seventh- and eight-grade students were packing up and leaving the school building anyway. The only snag came for students participating in after-school activities who had to board the buses and go home instead.

The building was cleared of all staff and students, as is protocol when a bomb scare occurs. Lt. Jack Peck of the Farmington Police Department interviewed the student suspect and will be meeting with the parents later today.
