WILTON – Police responded to a violation of a protection from abuse order complaint and ended up arresting two men on drug charges Friday afternoon.

Wilton Police Officers Rick Billian and Josh King responded to a complaint of a violation of a protection order at a residence at 60 U.S. Route 2. On arrival police said they found Steve Lee, Jr., standing in the parking lot. After interviewing Lee, the officers arrested him on a charge of violating a protection from abuse order.

As the officers were placing Lee under arrest, they reportedly saw a passenger in Lee’s vehicle attempt to hide a plastic bag. Police say passenger Roy Gordon of Temple tried to conceal a bag of oxycodone pills.

Gordon was searched and police said they also found drug paraphernalia on him. Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Chase and his police dog Jack were called in to continue searching the vehicle.

Lee was additionally charged with possession of oxycodone without a prescription, a Class C felony. Gordon was also charged with illegal prescription drug possession. Both men were taken to the Franklin County jail.
