JAY – The Wausau Community Rapid Response team is sponsoring a Community Resource Fair on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 11 am –7 pm. in the parish hall at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Church Street in Jay.

The Response team is made up of a diverse array of organizations and community members including representatives from the CareerCenter, United Way of the Tri-Valley Area, Workforce Investment Board, area towns, and Wausau Paper.

The purpose of this fair is to bring together potential employers, educational providers, state services such as the Dept. of Labor and the CareerCenter, area health and social service providers and other resources to share information with Wausau employees and their families that are transitioning into new ventures. While initially designed to assist Wausau employees, the fair is open to the public as the job losses will affect the entire community.

This event is free. Refreshments will be available.

If you have questions, you can call the Wilton CareerCenter at 645-5800 and ask for Patty Ladd.
