Charles Edward Frost (1921-2008)

FARMINGTON – Charles Edward Frost, 87, of Farmington died Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Edgewood Manor in Farmington.

He was born March 17, 1921 in Oakland, Maine, the son of Charles G. and Leonora F. (Runnels) Frost. He attended Cony High School, graduating in 1939, and Boston University. He married Phylis Parker who predeceased him in 2002. He worked as a guidance counselor at Livermore High School and Foster Regional Applied Technology Center and as a clinical psychologist at Tri-County Mental Health in Wilton.

Charles also served in the U.S. Army Air Force in Adak, Alaska, from 1942-1945. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lodge #10 (Masonic) in Augusta. Charles enjoyed hunting, working, amateur radio N1SPN. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved children and will be missed for his kindness and sense of humor.

Charles is survived by two daughters Hollie Frost of Auburn and Patricia Thomas and her husband Red of Mercer, his son Mark Frost and his wife Joanne of Farmington, three grandchildren Jonathan Frost of Canaan, Jodi Hodgdon of Waterboro, and Gabriel Frost of Lothian, MD, six great-grandchildren Allison, Molly, Charles, Daniel, John, and Jason, a sister-in-law Dorothy Richmond, his niece Gayle Nutting, and his nephew Gregory Richmond. He was predeceased by his wife Phylis.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements under the direction of  Adams~McFarlane Funeral & Cremation Services, 108 Court St., Farmington.
