KINGFIELD — Ethan Daniel Gile, 29, died unexpectedly on Jan. 30, 2021. He was born on March 25, 1991 to Sarah L. Hinkley and Ralph Gile III. Ethan attended Kingfield Elementary School and graduated from Mt. Abram High School in the class of 2009. While in high school, he was in the Dirigo Young Marines and he volunteered at the Kingfield Fire Department. At the age of 18, he became a full-fledged firefighter. At age 20, he trained with the Job Corps and received his maintenance certification. Returning back to Kingfield, Ethan went to work for Sugarloaf and the Kingfield Fire Department. After leaving Sugarloaf in Oct. of 2020, he went to work for New England Wire.

Ethan enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, firefighting training, video games, 4-wheeling, and spending
time with his many family members. Ethan would lend a helping hand to anyone at any time.
Ethan is survived by his mother, Sarah L. Hinkley; sister, Gabrielle L. Gile; two nieces, Callie and Cassie Heath; half-brother, James Gile and wife Veronica; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was
predeceased by his father, Ralph L. Gile III; his grandparents; aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan &Scott’s Cremation &Funeral Service, 488 Farmington Falls Rd., Farmington, ME 04938.

  1. Condolences to Ethan’s family, my heart aches to hear of his passing, he was such a sweet thoughtful student, well mannered and kind. I am so very sorry for your loss.
