INDUSTRY – Frances C. Willett, 82, of Industry, died early Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Manchester, N.H. on Dec. 19, 1926, a daughter of Cushman and Theresa (Schneider) Phillips and received her education in Lexington, Mass. schools.

On June 26, 1948, she married Edward R. Willett at the Calvary Methodist Church in Arlington, Mass. They made their home in Stoneham for many years before moving to Maine within the last couple of years where they made their home near their daughter and son-in-law. They also enjoyed spending several weeks in the winter in Sanibel Island, FL, as well as summers at their home in Madison, NH.

Mrs. Willett was a long standing member of the Women’s Guild of the First Congregational Church in Wakefield Mass. She also enjoyed knitting, embroidery, collecting antiques, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dr. Edward Willett of Industry; two daughters, Sara Wilk and her husband Dennis of Industry and Jane Gunn and her husband Thomas of North Andover, Mass.; a sister, Georgetta Raustis of Industry; four grandchildren, Andrew Gunn of Woburn, Mass., Amanda Lougee of South Hamilton, Mass., Brendan Gunn of Reading, Mass., and Travis Mustone of Essex, Mass.; four great grandchildren, Maya, Isabel, Alexis, and Hunter. She was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Cushman, and Gordon.

Private family services were held at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington with Rev. Dr. Richard Waddell, officiating. A Celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 31 at Cap’n Simeon’s Restaurant, Rt. 103, Kittery Point, ME. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in Frances’ memory to the Franklin Memorial Hospital Oncology Department, 111 Franklin Health Commons, Farmington, ME 04938.
