LEWISTON – Gloria Ruth Wing, 68, of Farmington died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born Dec. 27, 1939 in Boston, Mass., the daughter of Irwin and Mary Goodman. She worked for Work First from the mid 1980s to the present. She loved her job at Work First and the friends she had there. She enjoyed reading newspapers everyday, the local social events including the seasonal festivals and open houses, and she especially enjoyed the Farmington Fair. She loved her cat Spanky.
Gloria is survived by her two daughters Karen Dolan and Sharon Wing, both of Wilton, three granddaughters Zoey, Alexis, and Summer, three grandsons James, Jason, and Ethan, eight sisters and two adoptive sisters, a brother, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a son Charles, an adoptive sister Evelyn Hurtado, her parents, and an adoptive mother Gladys Pease.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug., 8, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington with Rev. Sharon Morse officiating.
