FARMINGTON – Jacqueline McGarvey (nee Murphy) lived in Rangeley and passed away in Farmington at Franklin Memorial Hospital on June 28, 2012.
Jackie was all about family. She bore the responsibility of, not only her own seven children (five boys and two girls), but also of taking on the mother role of four younger siblings after the accidental death of her own mother at a young age. She loved her entire extended family which reached from Maine to California, from North Carolina to the Persian Gulf.

Her mother was a branch of the large Ellis clan who at one time had three large dairy farms in the region south of the village. Jackie loved sitting on her front lawn watching cars come and go through town.
