FARMINGTON – Laurie E Libby Newall Lambert, 90, died on Nov. 9, 2008, at Pinewood Terrace in Farmington.

She was born in New Vineyard on June 15, 1918, to Roxie (Stewart) and Ralph Bernard Libby.

Her greatest passion in life was her home in West Freeman, mowing the lawns in the summer and plowing her yard in the winter. She loved chocolate, donuts, cakes and cookies. Also lunch at Adams Rib in Strong. Several of us “small” cousins always loved to go to Aunties house. We were always welcome and really good times were had there. Her home there in West Freeman is always a destination for the family to come to while visiting in Maine.

She leaves behind two brothers, Harvey Libby and wife Mabelle of Zellwood FL; Norman Libby and wife Celena of Strong and Melbourne FL; nephews and nieces, George Libby and wife Marian, Frank Libby, Helen Rambush and Loren, and son’s Lance and Eric, Richard Libby and wife Regina, Sandra Libby and John Rendon, Shirley Libby, and Billy Sherrill, Terry Libby, and Sue Libby, Anne Richard-Schattschneider and Don.

Also her special friends and extended family at Pinewood Terrace. She may have been difficult at times, but she loved you all and really loved living there. It was her home. Special thoughts to her roommate Mary and to Anne Marie who prayed for Laurie’s special angel everyday. Also her special friends, Nan and Delbert Reed, her neighbors for many years.

Predeceased by her parents, and step-father Roy Wiggin, her sister Barbara Stoddard, husbands Robert Newall and James Lambert.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. at the West Freeman Cemetery in West Freeman, with the Rev. John Tolman officiating. Please make any donations in her honor to the c/o Franklin County Animal Shelter, 550 Industry Road, Farmington, ME. 04938
