FARMINGTON – Marie R. Palmer, 83, of the Fairbanks Rd., Farmington, formerly of Stratton, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at her home.
She was born Nov. 14, 1924, in Mt. Vernon, NY, a daughter of Lewis and Wilhelmina Krontlik.
Marie had enjoyed being involved with the local senior citizens. She was musically gifted with a beautiful singing voice and was an animal lover. She enjoyed shopping at the local Wal-Mart where she formed many friendships and “adopted” Theresa Pratt of Farmington as one her extended family
members.
A devoted wife and mother, she leaves three children: Warren L. Palmer, Jr. and his wife, Virginia of Jay; two daughters: Marie J. Muse and her husband, Derrick of Merrimack, NH and Catherine R. Palmer and her companion David Dooley of Phippsburg; one sister, Dorothy Fallat and her husband, Teddy of Utah; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren in 1981.
Public graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 12 at 1 PM from the Pleasant View Cemetery, Kelly Rd., Glenburn, with Rhonda Wiles officiating. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to the Franklin Cty. Animal Shelter 550 Industry Rd. Farmington, Me. 04938.
