Patricia Ann “Piper” Gregory (1947-2008)

VIENNA — Patricia Ann Gregory, “Piper”, 60, of Vienna, died Tuesday July 1, 2008, in the comfort of her own home, of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 6, 1947, in Beverly, MA., a daughter of Joseph and Marjorie (Smith) McDonnell. She received her education in Mass. schools and on April 10, 1966, married Philip Gregory. They realized a lifelong dream
when they were able to move to Maine in 1975.

Piper was a Notary Public in Vienna. She was a member of the Vienna Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the Mt. Vernon/Vienna Homemaker’s Group. She had an
adventurous spirit and was a natural teacher who enjoyed home-schooling her youngest daughter who went on to earn a scholarship at UMF.

A devoted wife and mother, she always put her family first. She took great solace in prayer, and in her free time enjoyed reading, working on puzzles and staying
in touch with family and friends via email. In the words of her devoted husband of 42 years, Philip, of Vienna,
“she left a legacy of love.”

Their children also survive her. Two sons: Joseph Gregory and his wife, Kathy, of Chesterville and Galen Gregory of Vienna; two daughters: Millie Groder of Vienna and Carol Gregory of Farmington; two brothers: Larry McDonnell and David McDonnell, both of California; nieces and nephews; five grandchildren: Matthew and Courtney Groder and Ambrosia, Akiva and Joey Gregory as well as dear friends Stanley, Sue and Dave.

Public memorial services will be held Saturday afternoon July 5th at 4 :30 PM from the Vienna Baptist Church.
