FARMINGTON – Patricia Ann Wright, 83, of New Sharon, died early Thursday morning, June 26, 2008, with her family at her side at Orchard Park Living and Rehabilitation Center, Farmington.

She was born Sept. 22, 1924, in Galesburg, Illinois, a daughter of Frances Joseph and Helen (Nelson) Blake. She was married, Aug. 23, 1946, in Oquossoc to the love of her life, Linwood Wright. She enjoyed and supported her husband’s military career in the United States Air Force. She was known for her ease at adapting to moving her family, making new friends easily and for keeping in touch with the multi generational friends that she “collected” through her life journeys, often writing beautiful letters as a
way of keeping that connection.

She enjoyed music, particularly Irish music, and cheering for the Boston Red Sox. A member of St. Joseph’s
Catholic Church, Farmington, she was a woman of great faith and found prayer as a helpful way to offer love and support to those in need.

Some of her favorite causes included the Pine Tree Camp, Boys Town, the Newman Center at the University of Maine, Orono and the Sweetser Home. Her greatest joy was her family and she felt a great sense of peace knowing that they were secure, content and happy with their lives.
