LIVERMORE FALLS – Pearl Irene Hinkley, 90, of Livermore Falls, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, in Livermore Falls with her loving family by her side.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1917, in North New Portland, the daughter of, Charlie and Melinda (Blake) Morton. She was educated in North New Portland schools.

On Oct. 12, 1932 she married, Donald C. Hinkley. In the early years of their marriage, Pearl loved traveling with her husband for his work with a portable sawmill. A very hard working woman, she worked many jobs in her life including 19 years at Livermore Shoe until 1981, Hinkley’

s Wood Mill until 1982, Winters Inn in Kingfield for two years and at Sugarloaf for four years, retiring in 1991 at the age of 73.

Pearl enjoyed knitting, flower gardening, going out to eat and shopping.

She is survived by her children, William Hinkley and his wife, Pat of Gorham, Madeline Hunt and her husband, Grant of Lutz, FL, Maxine Buxton of Gorham, Christine Pelletier and her husband, Lionel of Livermore Falls and Donna Misner and her husband, Gus of Kingfield; a brother, Harry Morton of Buxton; many grandchildren including great and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald on Nov. 20, 1984; two sisters, Nellie Hinkley and Hazel Swain; two sons-in-law, Mickey Buxton and Butch Bouvier; a grandson, James Pelletier.

Funeral services will be held, 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 308 Franklin Rd., Rte. 133, Jay with Pastor Norm Boulet, officiating. Interment will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Livermore Falls. Words of condolence may be sent to wilesfuneralhomes@verizon.net
