Letter to the Editor: Haszko a fine candidate

1 min read

On Feb. 3, voters in Farmington and Industry will be electing a new state representative to fill the seat vacated by Rep. Janet Mills, our new Attorney General.

In Dennis Haszko, voters have another fine candidate to represent them in the Maine Legislature. His background in engineering and law provides him with the tools to find solutions to problems. He has worked and helped many Maine companies to find solutions and prosper including DeLorme, National Semiconductor and others.

Dennis Haszko is also an excellent role model and a proven community leader.

He volunteers at church, the community, and schools. An example is his work with SAVES. He saw a need to help the local sexual assault victims’

agency as they faced problems caused by looming funding reductions. Through his leadership and ability to work with others, SAVES is able to help more victims in a new, safe and accessible location. Dennis now continues his volunteer service as a co-chair of its board of directors.

Dennis Haszko is the best candidate for this seat.

I encourage voters to elect him as your representative.

Rep. Paul Gilbert
House District 87

  1. No he is a democrat which means he will support spending. How about we cut DHHS another 37 million and get the freeloaders out of our state.

  2. I can’t actually prove it, but I have my intuitive faculty has just sent word that Paul Gilbert never heard of Dennis before he was chosen to run. I wouldn’t be certain that he even met the fellow a month ago. Looking over the 2008 voting lists I see that he was still unenrolled last November.

Not that I’m condemning anyone. Such blather is pretty standard.
