Letter to the Editor: Ski club gives thanks

2 mins read

On behalf of the Farmington Ski Club, I would like to thank the area businesses, community residents and the ski club members for their generous support of the 13th Annual Titcomb Holiday Auction. The donations we received helped the Farmington Ski Club and the Titcomb Ski Education Foundation raise almost $8,000.

This generous support will help Titcomb Mountain continue its tradition of providing the wonderful outdoor recreational opportunities that so many enjoy. I would also like to thank Northern Lights, P.E. Twitchell and Hannaford for their generous participation in this year’s holiday raffle. Given the economic climate so many in our area face, the focus of our raffle was essential items, food and heat.

These businesses joined our efforts and for this we are appreciative. We would also like to thank the Granary for their donation of the space to hold this annual event. There are many individuals responsible for putting on this event and to them a special thank you as well. Without their efforts, this event could not happen.

Thanks to Franklin Savings Bank, Titcomb will be offering a ski free event on Dec. 28 for the community. We appreciate all that Franklin Savings Bank does in support of our mountain. Keep your eyes posted for more information about this event.

Again, thanks to everyone who supports Titcomb and I hope many of you will take advantage of this truly wonderful, unique and friendly place.

Sincerely,
Ron Aseltine,
President, Farmington Ski Club
