This year the Western Mountains Youth Soccer Association (WMYSA) had its inaugural season in North Franklin County, and I want to thank all who helped make it a success.
More than 32 busy Mount Abram students generously volunteered their time and knowledge to help coach the more than 140 kids from kindergarten to sixth-grade ages. The parents were helpful throughout and, of course, the participating kids were wonderful. Area community members Mark Lopez, Darren Allen, and Monica Headstrom were conspicuous in their leadership.
With such helpful and positive cooperation throughout the area the future for the program looks bright. I want to thank everyone who made it come together so well.
