ArtsFarmington presents: KEYBOARD FESTIVAL  ArtsFarmington invites the public to join us online for Keyboard Festival, a three-performance virtual series featuring the following artists: April 10 at 7:30 - harpsichord, Rebecca Pechefsky, affiliated with Brooklyn Baro- que April 17 at 7:30 - fortepiano, David Kim, Associate Professor of Music at Whitman College April 24 at 7:30 - pianoforte, George Lopez, Beckwith Artist-in-Residence at Bowdoin College Each concert will be in the form of a lecture/recital performed on the initial presentation date with viewing available for 30 days. ArtsFarmington Keyboard Festival–Live Panel Discussion

In conjunction with the ArtsFarmington Keyboard Festival performances of keyboard artists Rebecca Pechefsky (April 10), David Kim (April 17), and George Lopez (April 24), there will be a Live Zoom Panel Discussion with the three performers together on May 2 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. This will be a time to learn from the artists and ask questions. The discussion will be moderated by Aaron Wyanski, Assistant Professor of Music at UMF. This live event is available to the general public free of charge to those who register for the Festival series or any individual concert, or $10 for anyone

Maine Squeeze at Titcomb Mountain

ArtsFarmington is happy to host a return engagement for Maine Squeeze, famed six-member accordion ensemble of Maine. They will appear outdoors at Titcomb Mountain, located at 180 Ski Slope Road, Farmington, Maine 04938, on Saturday, June 12 at 6:30pm. Maine Squeeze has been squeezing together since 1996 throughout the state at fairs, festivals, concerts, private and community events. Their music, drawn from around the world as well as original tunes, showcases the versatility of the accordion from high energy, foot tapping tunes to mesmerizing numbers that emphasize the drama and beauty of the instrument. The Farmington Gazebo in Meetinghouse Park will be the site of four summer concerts by area youth. Sponsored by ArtsFarmington, these mini concerts will be every Wednesday in July starting at 7pm. There will be no admission charge but donations will be welcomed Here is the schedule: July 7- Abrahm and Samuel Geissinger (trumpet and French horn); July 14- Scott Barber (guitar and kazoo); July 21 – Rachel Spear (guitar and vocals); and July 28 - Hope Chernesky (fiddle, guitar and vocals)

Nordica Day Concert

Performing in this year’s Nordica Day Concert will be Kaleigh Hunter and Emma Jones, winners of last year’s Nordica Scholarship. They will be live-streamed from Nordica Auditorium on August 17 at 7:30. August 17 was the date in 1911 when world-famous opera diva and Farmington native, Lillian Nordica, performed in her hometown.The direct link to the live-streamed performance can be accessed on mtbluetv.org or artsfarmington.org. There is no charge, as it is a gift to the community from the Nordica Memorial Association. The video can also be viewed after August 27 on the above Mt. Blue TV and ArtsFarmington websites.

An Evening of Poetry Reading by outgoing and incoming Maine poets laureate Stuart Kestenbaum and Julia Bouwsma.  This event is presented by ArtsFarmington in collaboration with the UMF English Department.
