Saddleback Mountain Birds and Brews
Saddleback Lodge 976 SADDLEBACK RD, Rangeley, ME, United StatesJoin us for an evening walk and crack a cold one while we listen for and identify songbirds located within walking distance from the Saddleback Mountain Base Lodge. Bring binoculars if you have them. Please be prepared with hiking shoes, bug spray, and appropriate clothing given the weather forecast on the day of the class. Come take a paddle on the lake at night and see endless views of the mountain lit up by the beautiful full moon. Listen to the sounds of common loons echoing calls in the distance. This trip will be offered three more times this summer: July 13, August 11, and September 10. Geocaching has finally made it to Saddleback Mountain. Geocaching uses GPS and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches" at specific, marked locations. Come drop the kids off for an exciting treasure hunt! Geocaching is a great activity to get outside, explore the Maine woods, and find some cool souvenirs to bring home. There are quite a few boxes hidden all around the mountain, see if you can find them! Child drop-off location will be the deck at
