Congratulations to Emily & Jeff O’Donnell, for their wonderful yard at “Northwest Outpost,” of Church Hill, Strong.
Nominated by Valerie Tucker, we could see why Valerie thought this yard should be chosen. Emily and Jeff’s teamwork, dedication and resourcefulness have definitely paid off in their yard (& home) which they fondly refer to as “Northwest Outpost.”
The gardens include a chicken house, play house, pond, pool and many bird houses, bird baths & arbors. The gardens are wonderfully planned and maintained. Emily is very knowledgeable about her gardens and spends lots of time maintaining them. We really enjoyed touring her grounds very much.
The July judge was Peter Chamberlain from Wilton. Peter is a seasoned gardener who can quickly name most plants we encountered. It was a tough decision this month with so many wonderful entries. All participants should be recognized for their hard work in keeping their yards and neighborhoods looking so nice.
