CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Families will find fun for all ages during Sugarloaf’s annual Christmas Vacation Week celebration, Dec. 26 – Jan. 3, with the Maine Hysterical Society and Alex the Jester set to headline the week’s family entertainment.

Comprised of three of Maine’s most entertaining variety artists and humorists, the Maine Hysterical Society has been entertaining groups throughout New England for years. Charter members Randy Judkins, Barney Martin, and Steve Underwood present a comedy variety show of novelty songs, hilarious Maine characters, ‘wicked good’ juggling, and hysterical sketches that leaves audiences laughing for hours. The three comedians will take the stage in the King Pine Room on Monday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door.

The self-proclaimed King of Jesters, Alex the Jester dazzles audiences with all of the color, flair, and smart comedy of a Medieval court jester. Performing for audiences of all ages, shapes, and sizes, Alex the Jester packs many facets of audience appeal into one show: daring stunts, mind-bending sight gags, dazzling visual spectacle, musical capers and physical feats. The act features vibrant colors, audience interaction, and lavish costumes. Alex the Jester will perform for Sugarloaf’s annual Family New Year’s Eve party in the King Pine Room on Dec. 31.
