On Feb. 14 skiers will have the chance to race against local healthcare workers as a fundraiser for WinterKids.

FARMINGTON – A Maine Health team, mostly from Franklin Health Pediatrics, is hosting a fundraising event for WinterKids at Titcomb Mountain on Feb. 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The fundraising event is in preparation for The WinterKids Downhill 24, a major fundraiser for the WinterKids program, which will be held in March at Sugarloaf. The local team is participating for the fifth year in a row and is looking to have the largest fundraising year yet. To gear up for the big event, participants will have the opportunity to challenge their doctor, nurse, neighbor, or friend in a friendly dual format ski race on Sunday Feb. 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Entry is by a donation of any size and anyone is welcome to participate (you will need to be a Titcomb pass holder or purchase a day ticket). Challenge Dr. Whitt, Dr. Schumacher, Sandy and Todd Richard, and others in a friendly alpine race or Dr. Jacobs in a friendly nordic race. To donate ahead of time, please visit the link https://www.classy.org/team/336992 and select a team member to support.
