FARMINGTON – University of Maine at Farmington men’s soccer coach Christopher Parsons and women’s soccer coach Molly Wilkie are scheduled to host a February Break Soccer Clinic for children ages 5-12 from Feb 18-20 at Dearborn Gymnasium.

The clinic will be divided into two sessions with Session I (ages 5-7) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Session II (ages 8-12) from noon to 2 p.m.

The clinic focuses on player development in a fun, learning environment which builds self-confidence and teaches good sportsmanship. A curriculum has been designed for each session that will encourage the development of the youth soccer player. The clinic is co-ed and oriented around a playful and fun game-like atmosphere. The emphasis will be becoming comfortable with the ball while learning specific skills and individual tactics. A variety of games will be used to teach ball control and small group interaction. Small-sided games are played at the end of each session

The fee for the three-day clinic is $50 per player. Registration is taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the maximum enrollment of a session is reached, each additional applicant is placed on a waiting list. If a space becomes available, a member of the staff will contact the applicant by phone.

Registrations forms are available at the Farmington athletics department web site at athletics.umf.maine.edu.
