FARMINGTON – On Saturday, a determined Colby College men’s rugby team edged UMF in an exciting battle of undefeated teams. UMF crossed the Colby goal line for three tries to Colby’s two, but superior Colby kicking accounted for four penalty goals and the 22-15 victory. The teams traded the lead seven times in a back-and-forth match that wasn’t settled until the final whistle went with the UMF men attacking the Colby try line for what would have been a game-tying try.
The UMF men play at U-Mass Lowell on Sunday and are then home for the following two Saturdays (Oct 17th and 24th) for the season’s final two regular season games.

I am from England where I play and coach rugby. Recently I watched UMF,s rugby team training , while I was staying with friends in Farmington.I was impressed with their skill levels and attitude. Good luck for your game on sunday , hope the H.Bomb move works. Go UMF ! Billy Robson
Billy, not only has the HBomb been improved, but the real difference has been in our sets. After your tips the scrum has certainly been dominant winning not only our own ball but often winning the oppositions ball as well. We look forward to seeing you in 2010!
