FARMINGTON – University of Maine at Farmington sophomore Tim Millett (Gorham, ME) was named the North Atlantic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, teammate Cam Betts (Gray, ME) was recognized as the NAC Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week and freshman Melani St. Pierre (Charlestown, NH) was named the North Atlantic Conference Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference today.
Millett opened the season for the Beavers with a 12th-place finish at the University of New England Invitational. Millett ran the 8,000-meter race in 29:49. Right on the heels of Millett, Betts finished 13th at 29:50.
The top finisher for the Beavers, St. Pierre finished sixth in 21:42 on the 5,000-meter course at the University of New England Invitational on Saturday.
Farmington is scheduled to compete Saturday at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth Invitational.
