FARMINGTON – Police have arrested a 19 year old local man for a 2007 burglary, after interviewing him in the course of an apparently unrelated case.

Anthony Eisenberg, 19, of Farmington, was charged with felony burglary, after police allege he broke into a home on High Street. According to police, Eisenberg stole a safe which contained jewelry and cash.

Farmington Police Department Detective Marc Bowering was investigating a burglary reported on Heritage Circle on Sept. 28 when he interviewed Eisenberg, who lives near the property. During that interview, conducted on Sept. 30, police say Eisenberg admitted to the 2007 activity and led them to where he dumped the safe.

The safe was recovered, empty. Police estimate that $4,100 in jewelry and money was taken. Eisenberg has been given a Nov. 13 court date.

Police representatives today said that the Heritage Circle burglary investigation remains ongoing.
