CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The Carrabassett Valley Public Library will host an exhibit of artwork created by Barbara Stewart from Sept. 23 through Nov. 28.
Barbara has had a life-long interest in art and minored in art history at the University of Maine. She continues to be influenced by the Impressionists and Expressionists, especially Matisse and Van Gogh, finding their use of color and brushstrokes impelling. Barbara enjoys working with acrylics and oils, and often uses her travels to mountains, lakes and oceans as subjects.
The public is cordially invited to attend an opening reception for the artist on Friday, Sept. 30, from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm. Complimentary beverages and light fare will be served. Please join us.
