WILTON – The Foothills Arts Center will present a full menu of fall arts classes and workshops for adults and children. Professional artist-teachers will lead the relaxed, joyful sessions of clay, watercolors, theater, mixed-media art, story-telling, drawing, creative writing, folk-singing and fabric arts.

The classes will run during October and November – weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays. An early-bird registration discount of 20 percent is available for registrations received by Monday, Sept. 22.

People can mix and match from a myriad of options to suit their schedule, from a one-hour class to a 7-week series. There is a set of morning visual art classes for toddlers accompanied by an adult, an after-school children’s singing group for 3rd and 4th graders, an artist portfolio drawing series for high school students and adults, acting classes for adults and students ages 10 and up.

By popular request, the Center is offering nine different clay classes, to include a Thanksgiving pickle boat, animal sculptures, and holiday figurines.

That is just a sampling of the 26 fall classes that will take place at Foothills, the region’s community arts center, located in the historic Bass-Wilson Building in downtown Wilton. The bright, cheery Center on the water is a gathering place for creative learning and friendship-building.
