New artists featured at SugarWood Gallery

FARMINGTON – A painter, Lucia Swallow; and a photographer, Cindy Langewisch; both with East European roots will be SugarWood Gallery’s featured Artists of the Month for August. An Open House Reception will be held this Friday, Aug. 5 from 4 to 7 p.m., and again on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 248 Broadway in Farmington. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited. Friday evenings reception will include an “Art Talk” by Cindy from 6 to 6:30 p.m.. She will have a large and a medium format camera with her and talk about her process, her beginnings and involvements to date and offer some insights into her passions.

Lucia Wasileski Swallow resides in Farmington. She says “capturing color and creating design have been common threads throughout my life as a painter, gardener and mother. Cindy Rahagen Langewisch, photographer, is a New England native and has been a Maine resident for 30 years, currently residing in East Livermore. She utilizes color slides, color negatives and black and white negative films; she utilizes 35mm, medium and large formats.
