WILTON – For some folks, summer doesn’t really start until August: mosquitoes give way to horseflies, locals give way to tourists, Red Sox give way to the Yankees. Come usher in the only month of summer that matters with Teachers Lounge Mafia on Friday, August 5th as they return to Calzolaio Pasta Company in Wilton for an evening of mature-audience improv comedy.

Custom-built from audience suggestions, Teachers Lounge Mafia deliver an original brand of improv comedy combining the best of short form games made popular on shows like Whose Line Is It, Anyway and the long form storytelling behind films like Spinal Tap. Everything is made up in the moment, meaning no two shows are ever just alike. The one constant? Funny.

Based in western Maine, Teachers Lounge Mafia perform throughout the state and are sometimes allowed into New Hampshire as well. Several members recently completed a week long of study at the heralded Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York, while others have presented workshops to summer camps and youth programs. On August 12th, they will perform as part of the 2011 Portland Improv Festival.

This evening of mature-rated improv comedy begins at Calzolaio Pasta Company on Friday, August 5th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are only $5 and seating is limited. The bar will be open and food menus available. Prior TLM improv shows at this venue have sold out. Reservations are highly encouraged by emailing teachersloungemafiaimprov@gmail.com or contacting Calzolaio Pasta Company at 645-9500.
