WILTON – A concert featuring local youth music groups will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2010, 2-4 p.m., at the Wilton Congregational Church, 386 Main Street, to benefit the Wilton Food Pantry. Participating groups include the Franklin County Fiddlers, Mt. Blue Middle School Show Choir, Mt.Blue Jazz Band, Mt. Blue Voices, and the Syncopations. Admission is by cash or check donation in any amount. All donations will go to the Wilton Food Pantry.

The 2010 concert marks the sixth consecutive year of youth musician benefit concerts, organized by the Youth Group of the Wilton Congregational Church. The series began in 2005 when the first concert was held to benefit relief efforts for the South Asia tsunami of late 2004. In subsequent years, concert donations have gone to a community heating oil fund, and to the Wilton Food pantry. This year the Youth Group once again chose the Food Pantry because it is experiencing unprecedented demand for food assistance this winter.

The church is handicap accessible. Refreshments will be available. Those who wish to donate but are unable to attend may send a check to the Wilton Food Pantry, c/o the Wilton Congregational Church, P.O. Box 566,
Wilton ME 04294.
