FARMINGTON – The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation recently awarded a $5,000 grant to Greater Franklin Development Council. Greater Franklin will use this money to upgrade and redesign their website, along with matching funds of their own.

The upgrades and redesigns for the website are necessary in order to support the needs of entrepreneurs and business prospects, as well as the large network of local leaders. The website will support the need for a comprehensive economic development resource.

Executive Director Alison Hagerstrom said Greater Franklin intends to leverage its ability to make an impact by creating a redesigned website offering one-stop access to information needed to start or relocate a business here. The website will offer continuously updated links to a wide range of local, regional, state, and federal resources, as well as increased visibility of data and case studies that market the advantages of a Franklin County business location.
