FARMINGTON – Franklin Savings Bank has promoted Nancy Jones to vice president, underwriter, Loan Services.

Jones has been with Franklin Savings Bank since May 1984, when she graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta with an associate’s degree in Business Administration. She started on the teller line and progressed to the Loan Center, where she performed various functions and worked her way up to lender, mortgage underwriter and manager of the processing staff to her current position.

“Nancy has taken complete ownership of the mortgage processing area and has gained the trust and respect of her staff and our lenders,” said Peter L. Judkins, president and CEO of Franklin Savings Bank in announcing the promotion. “She brings unique skills to her position, having experienced the mortgage loan process from both sides of the street. This experience gives her the compassion and understanding to consider the lenders’ points of view while also working within policy and regulation. She takes great pride in her work and has taken the initiative to grow and adapt in the rapidly changing mortgage world.”

Jones, a lifelong resident of the Farmington area, lives in Farmington with her husband, Shane. They have two children.
