FARMINGTON – The Invitation, a new Christian resource and health center, has opened at 184 Main Street, Farmington.

“We have wonderful Christian and health-related books, including Bibles and other Christian resources, available free of charge. Please, come by and see for yourselves what we offer,” said Jayne Colby, director of the new storefront ministry.

She said among the offerings, starting on Monday, Jan. 16, a lecture series begins titled: The Life and Teachings of Jesus. The lectures will be shown at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

“Join us on a life-changing journey studying the life and teachings of the most significant individual of human history. Some believe he was God in the flesh. Others believe he was another holy prophet, like Mohammed or Buddha. Some say he was a deluded visionary. But none can ignore him,” Colby said.

The author and lecturer, Dr. Derek Morris, will be offering signed copy of his book “The Radical Teachings of Jesus” to each person who completes the series.

To register for this lecture series, please phone the center at 778-4428 and leave your name, address and telephone number, or come by. Space is limited, so we encourage folk to register early.
