Give`em the PICKLE!

PICKLES are those special or extra things you do to make people happy. It’s a hand written thank you note with every order shipped. It’s walking the customer to the item they’re looking for rather than pointing… or maybe it’s simply calling them by name. The trick is figuring out what your customers want and then making sure they get it. That’s the message behind Give ’em the PICKLE!

Highly entertaining and motivational, Give ’em the PICKLE workshop will inspire both management and employees to do the most important thing they can do in business…take care of the customer! Workshops will be held on Wednesday, March 16, from 9 to 1 p.m. at the Wilton Comfort Inn and on Tuesday, May 10, from 9 to 1 p.m. at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library. The workshops are sponsored by the Franklin County Tourism Network.

Give ’em the PICKLE will focus on:

Service: Make serving others your #1 Priority. You work in a noble profession, be proud 
of what you do.
Attitude: Choose your Attitude. How you think about your customers, is how you will treat them.
Consistency: Set high standards, and stick to them. Customers return because they like what 
happened last time.
Teamwork: Look for ways to make each other look good. In the end, everything ends up in front of the customer!

The Give ’em the PICKLE! video is full of stories and personal anecdotes. Bob Farrell talks about what he knows with high energy, humor, and passion. 

Employees in any service industry will benefit from this program. And, frontline managers will find a straightforward and easy way to offer solid customer service concepts to their employees.

The training program will include helping managers and supervisors coach their employees to peak performance in customer service. Participants will learn how to have coaching discussions with individuals and teams to set goals and create a plan for improvement.

Participants will leave the workshop invigorated and excited with a tool box to help them re-enforce the PICKLE’S key elements of Attitude, Consistency, and Teamwork needed to provide world class customer service each and every day. In addition, all workshop participants will receive a Certificate of Completion suitable for framing as well as some fun PICKLE products to take back to their businesses.
