On the menu are the 25K Burt Kettle Classic, 25K and 50K freestyle races, and a 25K untimed touring! Our 25K loop is nice mix of wide, rolling, straight sections and classic New England Nordic trails that wind through native forestland located at the foot of the majestic Saddleback Mountain. Hunter will discuss the impact of invasive plants on Maine wildlife and forestry. 9th Annual Moose Dash Snowshoe Race
The course winds through woodlands north of Saddleback Mountain and includes single track and nordic groomed trails. Views and possible wildlife sightings are included! Janine, a resident of Temple, served three years in Ukraine until the March 2020 evacuation of Volunteers due to the COVID pandemic. During that time she lived and worked in the village of Kosmach located in the Carpathian Mountains. She became a welcomed part of an extended family and was included in weddings,

Managing Field Lands for Grassland Birds and Soils for Forever Chemicals

She will discuss Maine's grassland-dependent bird species and their conservation, as well as best management practices to improve grassland habitat while maintaining sustainable hay crops. Richard Kersbergen is the Extension Professor for Sustainable Dairy and Forage Systems with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Earth Day Volunteer Cleanup
