Accident briefly closes Front Street

The above vehicle struck a small pine tree after its operator reportedly suffered a seizure this morning on Front Street.

FARMINGTON – A man is in the hospital today, after reportedly suffering a seizure while operating a vehicle on Front Street.

Farmington Fire Rescue responded with local, county and university police to the entrance to NotifyMD, which provides communication services for medical professionals across the country. The operator apparently suffered some sort of seizure and lost control of the vehicle, which crashed through a small pine tree.

The crash briefly closed Front Street, and the man was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar. A passenger in the vehicle was reportedly not hurt in the accident.
