FARMINGTON – Residents looking to pick up a good deal on a bag should stop by Franklin Memorial Hospital today or tomorrow.
A partnership between Bag Ali, a Massachusetts-based retail store, and the Hospital Auxiliary has brought hundreds of purses, carry-alls and cases to the hospital lobby. A percentage of the proceeds of the sale of each bag will go toward the auxiliary, which uses the money to help fund special services and equipment relating to the Franklin Community Health Network.
Auxiliary members will on hand to help customers.
“We’re very lucky to be able to do what we do with all volunteers,” Auxiliary President Shannon Smith said.
The bags will be on sale until 4 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
