FARMINGTON – Devaney, Doak & Garrett Booksellers held a party celebrating the Spread the Word Summer Reading Program’s completion. The young readers handed in book review cards throughout the summer which were placed in books for other kids to see. A whopping 166 reviews were handed in, with 20 kids handing in 6 or more, earning them a $5 gift certificate. At right is the store’s owner and chief reviewer of books, Kenny Brechner.
