Firefighters knock down Farmington fire

FARMINGTON – Firefighters responded to a call for help off High Street this afternoon, after receiving a report of smoke in the residence.

Farmington Fire Rescue was able to rapidly extinguish a fire at 105 Beechwood Lane at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday afternoon. The property is owned by Paul Dustin.

Also responding was Northstar Ambulance Services, although no injuries were reported, and Central Maine Power. Mutual aid calls were initially made to the Wilton, Chesterville and Temple departments, but those were almost immediately cancelled after Farmington personnel reported that the blaze had been extinguished.
